About this test and tag course

This is the most comprehensive one day test and tag short course on offer. It covers more than just how to push buttons on a machine.  It teaches you essential theoretical and practical skills required to meet the requirements of being a competent person. Our aim is to get you to a level where, with a little bit of practice after the course, you will be able to correctly test and tag a range of electrical appliances safely and with confidence. Ideal entry level course for tradespeople, maintenance staff and other persons required to perform or oversee test and tagging duties on a range of common electrical appliances of a basic design. It is also suitable for those considering starting a test and tag business and want to learn the fundamentals before moving onto advanced training that will be required to become a contractor.

  • No prior trade or electrical qualification necessary
  • No technical experience necessary
  • Suitable for all genders
  • Tutor has many years real life, in-the-field test tagging experience
  • Plenty of opportunity to ask questions and practice your new skills

Some knowledge of basic electrical theory is helpful but not essential, we’ll teach you what you need to know.
